What information do we collect?
We collect information from you when you fill out a form or otherwise request assistance or information. If you are a client, that is, someone needing assistance, your personal identity and personal information are kept in the strictest of confidence. We generally only maintain first names and last initial in our records. However, the full text of your information request is automatically logged on our website.

When requesting assistance or information on our site, you may be asked to enter your name, e-mail address, mailing address, or phone number.  You may, however, visit our site anonymously or only leave your e-mail address.

What do we use your information for?
All of the information we collect from you may be used to help us respond to your needs or inquiries.  You information, whether public or private, will not be sold, exchanged, transferred, or given to any other company, person, or entity for any reason whatsoever, without your consent, other than for the express purpose of responding to your request, except to appropriately authorized law enforcement officials.

How do we protect information?
The identities of our clients are held confidentially.  In our corporate records our client's names are recorded as first name and last initial only.  We may occasionally refer to a client in our blog, but we don't use real names or other identifying attributes in order to maintain client confidentiality.   

We also protect the names of our individual donors. Names are not posted on our web site as we do for corporate donors and sponsors.

On line donations are facilitated through PayPal, which maintains their own confidentiality policy.

Do we use cookies?
We do not use cookies.

Do we disclose any information to out side parties?
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information.  This does not include trusted third parties who assist us in operating our web site, conducting our business, or providing assistance or information.  We may also release your information when we believe release is necessary to comply with the law or enforce our web site policies.

California Online Privacy Act Compliance
Because we value your privacy we have taken the necessary precautions to be in compliance with the California Online Privacy Protection Act.  We therefore will not distribute your personal information to outside parties without your consent.

We are in compliance with the requirements of COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act), we do not collect any information from anyone under 13 years of age.  Our website, resources, assistance, and information are all directed to people who are at least 13 years or older.
